Pumpkin Eater is a short psychological horror visual novel that was originally created as a game jam submission and released on November 17, 2021. The store description describes it as a self-contained "40 minute kinetic story" — a format that inherently implies a finished, complete product with no branching or ongoing content. There are no DLC listings, no roadmaps, and no announcements of future content. The only post-launch developer communication was a minor patch on January 28, 2022 that added a Spanish translation and fixed a few bugs. There has been no developer communication since that date. Given that the game was launched as a complete, fixed-length story with no post-launch content model, it is considered complete as of its release date.
