Pup Champs launched on May 19, 2025 as a complete tactical puzzle game with 150+ hand-crafted puzzles. Ten days later, on May 29, 2025, Afterburn shipped the Epilogue Update (v1.10), adding Chapter 8 with 19 new puzzles and a closing story comic, bringing the total to 170+ puzzles. The developer explicitly framed this as the narrative conclusion: "we hope you have enjoyed the pups' journey." Following that, Afterburn released the Hint Update (v1.20) on June 25, 2025 — a quality-of-life patch adding accessibility features rather than new puzzles or story content — and a security-focused engine update (v1.21) on October 27, 2025. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content, and no roadmap pointing to additional chapters or expansions. The developer's post-launch communications have focused on polish and maintenance rather than new content. The Epilogue Update, coming just 10 days after launch, plausibly represented the final planned content for the game — rounding out the puzzle count and completing the story. Since October 27, 2025, there have been no further developer communications.
