Puzzle Plunder launched as a free-to-play pirate-themed match-3 game on October 9, 2018. The developer, Windybeard (Anthony), shipped an early bug-fix patch in November 2018 and then released the Vampire Night DLC on October 14, 2020 — a Halloween-themed adventure that added new gameplay, achievements, and loot. That DLC remains the last piece of content released for the game. Both DLC items listed on the store are marked as released, with no unreleased content in the pipeline. Since October 2020, all developer news posts from Windybeard's Steam hub have been about other projects: Galactic Mining Corp (released May 2021) and Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde (launched into Early Access on May 25, 2022 under a new studio, Creature Cauldron). The developer's last communication touching Puzzle Plunder was the Vampire Night launch post on October 14, 2020. There are no announced future updates, no roadmap, and no unreleased DLC.
