Puzzle Quest 3

Puzzle Quest 3 officially launched out of Early Access on May 30, 2023, simultaneously releasing on consoles. The developer explicitly described it at launch as "a live-service game" that "will continue to develop new content, add gameplay features, and introduce more events and fun puzzle action," calling it "truly just the beginning." The game operates on a numbered seasonal content model. Since its 1.0 launch, ten major seasonal updates have shipped: Seasons 3.3.1, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5. Each season brings new variant gear sets, spells, minions, legendaries, a platinum season pass with premium cosmetics, and a structured multi-chapter story rollout spanning several weeks. The most recent season, Update 4.5, launched February 24, 2026, with its final chapter concluding on April 22, 2026. Additionally, 15 feature patches have shipped introducing major systems like a Gear Rework (Update 3.0, March 25, 2024), a new Forge System (Update 3.1.5, June 4, 2024), and ongoing balance and UI improvements. The developer also announced Puzzle Quest: Immortal Edition on September 18, 2025 — a separate standalone product collecting nearly 20 years of franchise history — but this does not affect the ongoing live-service status of Puzzle Quest 3 itself. With a consistent cadence of roughly one new season every 1–2 months and no developer statement indicating any end to seasonal support, Puzzle Quest 3 is firmly operating as an ongoing live-service title by design.
