Evaluation
Race for the Galaxy launched on June 27, 2017, alongside its first two expansions — Gathering Storm and Rebel vs. Imperium. A third expansion, Brink of War, followed on December 14, 2017, completing the digital adaptation of the physical board game's expansion line. A minor bug fix patch was issued on January 10, 2018, and the last developer communication came on October 15, 2018, when the game was updated to align with the 2nd Edition of the physical card game (balance tweaks and a color-blindness accessibility improvement). All three DLC expansions have been released, and no further content has been announced or listed on the store. The physical board game has additional expansions (Alien Artifacts, Xeno Invasion, etc.) that have not been announced for the digital version. The developer has not posted any updates since October 2018, and there are no outstanding commitments or unreleased DLC. This game launched as a faithful digital adaptation of the board game and appears to have reached its complete state with the October 2018 patch.
