Raiders of Valhalla launched into Early Access on July 29, 2024. In the weeks following launch, Afil Games was fairly active — shipping bug fixes in early August 2024, a major content update on August 23, 2024 (introducing a new boss, Sleipnir, and new systems), a significant Forge rework on September 9, 2024, and controller support on September 30, 2024. This showed a developer engaged with player feedback and actively iterating on the game. However, after September 30, 2024, all development communication ceased. The next and only subsequent post was a Steam Spring Sale promotion on March 20, 2026 — over 17 months later — which contained no information about the game's development status, upcoming features, or plans for the Early Access roadmap. There have been no patch notes, devlogs, roadmap updates, or any other development-related communications since September 30, 2024. The game remains in Early Access, which by definition signals it is unfinished. But the prolonged developer silence — with no updates to content or communication about what's coming next — raises real uncertainty about whether active development is continuing. The store page has not been updated with any roadmap or future plans, and no completion target has been communicated.
