Evaluation
Raygun Commando VR launched on January 23, 2017 as a free-to-play arcade VR shooter. In the months following launch, the developer (Chun Y.) was fairly active, shipping a series of feature updates through early 2017 that added new sections, game modes, weapons, and UI improvements. A notable compatibility update followed in June 2019 to support Valve Index controllers, and a small bug fix was published on January 6, 2020 — the last recorded communication from the developer.
The game's single DLC, the "Thank You Pack," was released the day after launch (January 24, 2017) and is the only DLC listed. No DLC is unreleased. The developer has never posted a roadmap, announced future content, or described any plans for additional updates. There are no major content releases in the post history — the update pattern consisted entirely of feature patches and bug fixes.
Since January 6, 2020, there has been no communication from the developer of any kind. Given the game's simple, self-contained nature (an on-rails arcade shooter with an average 14-minute play session), the lack of any content announcements, and over six years of silence following the last update, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product. The January 6, 2020 bug fix represents the last developer activity and is the most reasonable marker for when active support concluded.
Evidence
Developer posted a bug fix on January 6, 2020 addressing a DLC weapon exclusivity issue and achievement tracking inconsistency. This is the last recorded communication from the developer.
Feature patch to support Valve Index controllers, with weapon and shield mechanic changes.
