REANIMAL launched on February 13, 2026, with a Season Pass covering three story chapters in The Expanded World. The developer said in January 2026 that three DLC chapters were planned after launch. The first chapter, The Prisoner, shipped on August 7, 2026. The developer has confirmed that the two remaining chapters are still coming, though no release dates for them have been given. The store listing shows the Season Pass as released even though only one of its three chapters has shipped. Tarsier Studios followed the August release with a patch on August 28, 2026, that fixed crashes and softlocks in The Prisoner and improved HDR support, showing the studio is still actively working on the game. Because two promised chapters have not yet shipped, the game's content is not complete.
