Recollection

Recollection is a short, self-contained indie walking simulator that launched on April 17, 2023 as a finished product. Post-launch developer activity was limited to a handful of minor patches in the weeks following release — mostly small quality-of-life fixes and translation corrections — with no new gameplay content added after launch. The developer's communications since then have been focused entirely on their next game, The Greenening: it was announced on February 3, 2025, a playable demo was released on September 9, 2025, and the full game launched on May 7, 2026. These posts were cross-promoted to Recollection's Steam page as a courtesy to existing fans, not as indicators of ongoing development on Recollection itself. On April 17, 2025 (the game's second anniversary), the developer permanently reduced the price and released a standalone soundtrack — a celebratory gesture rather than a sign of new content. The sole DLC, the official soundtrack, has been released. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future updates, and no roadmap for Recollection. The game launched as a complete experience and has remained so.
