Evaluation

Rei and the Floating City launched on February 20, 2026 as a self-contained story-driven RPG. The store description presents a complete narrative about a mage named Rei navigating a mysterious country she cannot leave, with turn-based combat and hand-drawn art. There is no mention of DLC, expansions, seasonal content, or future updates anywhere in the store materials. No developer news posts, patch notes, or announcements have been made since launch. The game is now past the 180-day recently-launched window (as of August 20, 2026), and no post-launch content activity has emerged in that time. This is consistent with the game having launched as a finished, standalone product — a common pattern for Japanese RPGs published by Kagura Games. With no signals pointing to planned or ongoing content, the game is considered complete as of its release date.

About this game

Rei is on a journey to become a fully-fledged mage when her airship meets a terrible fate. She and her family crash land in Jupeterno and are nursed back to health by some locals... Except apparently once someone arrives in Jupeterno, they're never allowed to leave. Add in political intrigue and a mysterious, beautiful princess, and Rei's chances of ever making it home are crashing as rapidly as her airship did!

Battle through a magical tower full of monsters to get what you need to escape the country... or give in and resign yourself to your fate. Which will you choose?

Find your way home

Speak to locals and investigate Jupeterno to find a way back home.

Turn-based combat Battle

menacing monsters to build up your strength!

Hand Drawn Art

There are plenty of unique, hand-drawn images for you to collect and enjoy.
