Resort Boss: Golf launched into full release on July 25, 2019, after a period of Early Access development. The developer delivered on a post-launch roadmap that included major updates such as drivable golf carts and tournaments (May 2019), building tools and achievements (November 2019), and culminating in a large final update on February 4, 2020 that added Campaign Mode, Steam Workshop support, and an expanded Scenario Mode. In that February 4, 2020 update post, the developer explicitly stated: "This is the last planned content update for Resort Boss: Golf." This was consistent with an earlier November 2019 post that had also described the upcoming update as "the last planned content update." Following that final update, a handful of feature patches and bug fixes continued to ship through late 2020 (including Halloween-themed cosmetic content in October 2020), but no new major content or further development statements have been made since then. The developer's own words confirm that content development concluded with the February 4, 2020 update. The game shipped as a complete, finished product from that point forward.
