Evaluation

RetroMaze launched on May 21, 2018 as a self-contained 30-level maze game. At launch, the developer mentioned plans to add trading cards, backgrounds, and emoticons, but these additions were contingent on reaching a certain number of reviews and sales — and there is no evidence they were ever implemented or that this intent was reaffirmed. The only post-launch update was a June 21, 2021 technical patch (v1.2.0) that upgraded the game engine, reduced file size, and made quality-of-life improvements — no new gameplay content was added. The last developer communication of any kind was that June 21, 2021 patch. There have been no major content releases beyond the original launch, no announced upcoming DLC, and no developer posts since 2021. The store description still mentions plans for trading cards and cosmetic additions, but this language dates to the original launch and has not been followed up on in any subsequent developer communication. The game is best understood as a compact, finished product that shipped complete in 2018 and received one engine-level maintenance update in 2021.
Evidence
Update v1.2.0 upgrades the game engine, improves performance, and reduces storage size. No new gameplay content added. This is the last developer communication on record.
