Evaluation
Return to Campus is a free-to-play open-world school game that launched on January 12, 2025. From the outset, the developer was transparent that this free version contained only the "poor kid" storyline, with a paid expanded version called "Campus Fantasy" planned to deliver the full experience including a "rich kid" storyline and additional gameplay systems.
The developer shipped the paid follow-up, Campus Fantasy, on July 12, 2025, and then delivered the final piece of content for Return to Campus itself — the conclusion of the "poor kid" route ending — on October 3, 2025. That October 2025 update marked the completion of the storyline content the developer had committed to for this title.
Since then, the developer's attention has shifted entirely to a new standalone project called "Nice City," which launched on February 14, 2026. A March 2, 2026 patch for Return to Campus applied performance improvements carried over from Nice City's development, but this was a technical maintenance update rather than new content.
The developer has not announced any new story content, DLC, or gameplay additions for Return to Campus. The one paid DLC ("老哥支援包 / Big Bro Support Pack") released on January 22, 2025 was a supporter pack rather than a content expansion, and it has been fully delivered. With the storyline complete, Campus Fantasy available as the full-featured successor, and the developer's focus now on Nice City, Return to Campus appears to be a finished product.

There are many interesting ways to play in the game, such as realizing the fantasy of daze in class, time standing still, instantaneous movement and so on, and of course, there is also the function of blowing up the school, which every reader has imagined, and destroying all the buildings in the school. There is also a replica of the game that you like to desert and play inside your cell phone during class, in short, this unique gameplay will bring you a unique experience.

1. I’m fed up with too many profit-oriented manufacturers that treat games as commodities. They copy whatever is popular and sew whatever makes money. So I have always had a dream to make a game that is different from what’s on the market. It’s a good game. It will be found to be supportive.
2. I am an independent game producer. This game was produced by me alone. It took me a lot of energy and effort. I hope more people will play my game.
