Ring the City entered Steam Early Access on June 30, 2019. In the weeks that followed, Giant Games posted a handful of updates — bug fixes, a feature patch, and one major content update adding two new characters (on July 26, 2019). After that, all communication from the developer stopped entirely. As of June 26, 2026, there have been no news posts, patches, or announcements from Giant Games in nearly seven years. The game remains in Early Access and has never graduated to a full 1.0 release. With no developer activity since July 26, 2019 and no roadmap or completion statement ever published, it is unclear whether development is still ongoing or has been quietly abandoned.
Evidence
Major update v0.9 added two new characters (Dancer Jean and Ring Warlock Pantheon). This is the last developer communication on record.
Feature patch v0.8.3 added a monsterpedia, adjusted dungeon and monster generation rules, and fixed multiple bugs.

About this game
"Ring The City" shows a story of an unknown town named Krana. A Dungeon appeared out of nowhere. The rings found in the dungeon gives the wearer the power to control elements and living things.
Adventurers accompanying pets, the influx of animals, the burrowing creatures of the caves, and the underground unknowns also pick up the rings, gaining great strength and wisdom, hindering and slaughtering the adventurers.
Greed leads them to keep digging down. What is the truth? What awaits us at the bottom?
The game is heavily populated with battles between the "ring users":
Battle between "ring users" will be "hand-to-hand". Once player had decided a move in a round, enemy will make his move in the same time.
To guess and try to counter enemy's attack is the core idea of the battle.
