Rise of Three Kingdoms launched on Steam on December 11, 2020. The developer, SLGames, described it from the outset as being in a "preemptive experience" (early/preview) stage, with a commitment to continually fix bugs, add content, and expand gameplay systems.
In a developer post on December 22, 2020, SLGames laid out an extensive 2021 roadmap promising a new strategy system, vassal state system (including legion and commission mechanics), city construction, general skills, new arms of service, emperor control, and a hell difficulty mode — all to be delivered throughout 2021. The first major content milestone on that roadmap, the "Belle of War" DLC (adding marriage, breeding, self-built female generals, and search-and-visit missions), was delivered on December 29, 2020 as v2.0.0. A follow-up feature patch (v2.2.0) landed on January 11, 2021, refining the offspring system and adding new items.
After January 11, 2021, the developer went completely silent. There have been no further news posts, patch notes, or official communications of any kind. The promised 2021 content — the strategy system, vassal state system, city construction, and more — has never been announced as shipped, and the developer has never explained the silence or indicated whether development has concluded. The store description still describes the game as an ongoing "preemptive experience" with updates promised, which has not been updated to reflect the current reality.
With outstanding development commitments from December 2020 unaccounted for and no communication since January 11, 2021, it is impossible to confirm whether the game is still being developed or has been quietly abandoned.

Rise Of Three Kingdoms is a Three Kingdoms history simulation strategy game. To make the product more realistic, we have browsed Records of the Three Kingdoms, Book of Later Han, ZiZhiTongJian and The spring and Autumn period of Emperor Xian. We also sort out material with eight hundred thousand words as the reference resources for the game design. During the period of study the details of Three Kingdoms, we have found many interesting facts. For example, Liubei was actually a man with nor beard; Jianggan, who stole the books was a handsome guy; the mother of Zhanglu had secret relationship with Liuzhang's father, who was the enemy of the former one... As we designed the game, we tried to put as much details as possible into the game and provide you a more realistic Three Kingdoms world.
As a lord of a certain territory, you will appoint your interior officers to search and visit the celebrities and input them to the generals list of Three Kingdoms. You can use different arrays and the advantages of the terrain against enemies with more soldiers than you. Military and strategical movement will be launched on the map.
