Evaluation

Ritus Exorcismus launched on March 16, 2026 as a complete 1.0 release, following a public demo period that ran from July 2025 through early 2026. The launch post described it as "the full game" with no mention of planned post-launch content. Since release, the developer's communications have consisted of bug fix patches (addressing minor lore text inconsistencies and similar issues) and a community milestone post on July 15, 2026 celebrating 100 positive reviews. No DLC, expansions, season passes, roadmaps, or post-launch content plans have been announced by the developer at any point. The game has no unreleased DLC on the store. The developer has not signaled any intent to add further content beyond maintenance. At today's date of September 17, 2026 — six months after launch — the game is now outside the recently-launched window, and the post-launch record shows only maintenance activity with no content development signals. Ritus Exorcismus appears to have launched as a complete, standalone product.

About this game

Demonic possessions are increasing all over the land. You are a priest being trained by the church to perform exorcisms. Equipped with your Exorcism Book and a case of Holy Relics you are sent to aid the afflicted population.

Demonic possessions

The land is being overwhelmed by evil. In each chapter of the story you will travel to a different village, and it is your duty as an exorcist to cast all demons out.

Travel and experience events

Your Abbey is the only holy refuge for the villages around it. Each village will present different scenarios and possessed villagers. Exorcising the possessed is your main task, but animals and the land itself are also being corrupted. You will have to handle all of them.

Unique events can reward you with powerful relics that once belonged to saints and martyrs.

Book of exorcisms

Your book contains information about all demons and demonic signs manifested by the possessed. Find the page that matches the current demonic sign and select the correct holy relic to counter the demon's actions.

As you gain experience, you will know the book by heart and will truly feel as a bona fide exorcist.

Holy Relics

You will be equipped with six holy relics: Crucifix, Blessed Candles, Holy Water, Anointing Oil, Incense and Salt. Each relic has a unique minigame that you must complete to counter a demonic sign.

As you travel to different locations, you may find new relics that can have a decisive impact on the outcome of minigames.

Empower your Relics

After liberating a village from evil, its inhabitants will give you offerings as a token of their gratitude. These offerings can be used to upgrade your relics, giving you an ever increasing advantage against the demons.

Multiple endings

Not all exorcisms will end successfully and some souls will be lost. The amount of lost souls and your choices will determine what kind of ending you will get.
