Rivalhearts

Rivalhearts is a free-to-play episodic visual novel currently in Early Access, launched on November 6, 2024. The game has been receiving steady updates since launch. The initial release (November 2024) introduced Episode 1 content for all four romantic routes. A feature update in December 2024 added a Spanish translation and new sound effects, followed by an Episode 1 upgrade in March 2025 that polished the opening experience based on player feedback. The most recent major content update, on April 14, 2026, delivered Amber's Episode 2 — the first of the four characters' second episodes. In the same post, the developer explicitly stated that "Next up will be Brooklyn and Erika's episode 2, which will release much quicker comparatively," confirming that additional episode content is actively in development. A minor update on April 22, 2026 further noted that an expanded version of Amber's Episode 2 is also being prepared, described as adding "some juicy new information and fun." The store description reinforces this, stating "The community fuels the story's development" and that it "Includes an extensive teaser of what's to come next," framing the game as an ongoing, episodic release. The developer has been consistently active and communicative throughout the game's life, and has directly announced more content coming for the remaining routes. The game is clearly mid-development with multiple episodes still to be released.
