Robot Arena III launched on Steam in Early Access on May 26, 2016, then graduated to full release on June 20, 2016. During the Early Access period and immediately after launch, the team shipped several patches adding new components, physics improvements, and multiplayer fixes. The last developer communication of any kind was a community update on September 6, 2016, in which a community moderator acknowledged the gap in communications, promised to keep players informed about future updates, and expressed hope for "good news soon." Despite that note of optimism, no further updates, patches, or announcements have been posted since September 6, 2016 — nearly a decade ago. The developer never announced any DLC, expansion, or roadmap for future content. While the September 2016 post suggested updates were still being worked on at that time, no follow-through ever materialized. With no subsequent developer activity of any kind across almost ten years, the game's development has clearly concluded, with the last meaningful developer activity dating to September 6, 2016.
