Evaluation

Robot Detour is a compact puzzle game from two-person indie studio Nozomu Games that launched on November 14, 2024 with 88 levels across 6 worlds. The developers described it as their "debut game" and "small puzzle magnum opus." After launch, the studio released bug-fix patches through late November 2024, then shipped a meaningful content update on January 26, 2025 adding hand-drawn comics for each world, Mac support, cloud sync, and other quality-of-life improvements. This is the last substantive content update to the game itself. On November 14, 2025, the developers posted a one-year anniversary update. They explicitly stated "we're still not planning any big updates to Robot Detour (it's perfect already)," confirming the base game is considered finished. They mentioned two additional items: console ports targeting the first half of 2026 (in collaboration with Mameshiba Games), and a small OST DLC with remastered music and secret tracks. The soundtrack DLC is already listed on the store as released. As of today (September 24, 2026), the H1 2026 console port window has passed. Console ports are platform releases of the existing game content, not new game content — they do not represent additional content for the existing Steam product. The OST DLC has since appeared as released in the store listing. The developer's explicit statement that no big updates are planned, combined with the completion of the announced soundtrack DLC, means there are no outstanding content commitments remaining for the Steam release. No further content has been announced since the November 14, 2025 post. The January 26, 2025 update represents the last addition of new game content.
Evidence
One-year anniversary post explicitly states 'we're still not planning any big updates to Robot Detour (it's perfect already).' Developer confirms focus has shifted to their next game, Burn With Me. Mentions console ports targeting H1 2026 and an OST DLC in preparation.
