Evaluation

Robothorium launched into Early Access on June 7, 2018 and reached its full 1.0 release on January 31, 2019. The launch announcement explicitly stated the game was "now complete and ready to get out of Early Access." Shortly after launch, on January 25, 2019, the developer noted they would "still provide updates with fixes and improvements, if not content addition when possible" — hedging language that stopped well short of a firm post-launch content commitment. A post-mortem published on February 20, 2019 confirmed the team's attention was already shifting toward new projects (Legend of Keepers, Sigma Theory, Seeds of Resilience), stating "we're unsure about how we'll push after that." While the post ended with "Robothorium is NOT DEAD! We still want to push new updates, so stay tuned," no roadmap, named DLC, or concrete content plans were ever announced. All two DLC items (a soundtrack and a skin pack) were both released during Early Access in 2018. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The most recent developer news post touching on Robothorium is the studio anniversary post from March 18, 2021, which made no mention of any forthcoming Robothorium content. There have been no feature updates, content announcements, or developer communications specific to Robothorium since early 2019. The game launched as a complete package, the studio moved on to other titles, and no post-launch content cadence was ever established.

The Story :

2052. Planet Earth. BreakTech, an enterprise specialised in robotic construction, is flourishing thanks to thorium, an unlimited and innovative power source. After many years of exploitation, robots are finally protesting for their rights. But the peaceful movement is quickly escalating to riots and the human repression is near. Now seen as a first degree threat, robots are hunted down and culled throughout the planet.

You, S.A.I.A., an enhanced artificial intelligence, have to end this surrounding chaos and build a future for your robots. Unite with the new rebel factions, which have been engaged in turf war for months, then deal with cyborgs, humans and robots to lead your own robotic uprising.
