Evaluation
Rocksmith+ launched on Steam on June 6, 2024 as a free-to-play, subscription-based music learning platform. Ubisoft describes it as a "modern, evolving music learning service" — this is a live service product by design. The subscription model unlocks access to a catalog of thousands of songs, and the store description prominently advertises "monthly additions" from a wide variety of artists across genres. Continual expansion of the song library is a fundamental, built-in feature of the service.
The 50 most recent Steam news posts are all weekly song addition announcements, confirming that the catalog is actively and continuously growing. No posts signal any change to the service's ongoing nature. The service is designed to never be "complete" — new songs are added on a rolling basis as part of what subscribers pay for.
Evidence
Store description explicitly markets Rocksmith+ as a 'modern, evolving music learning service' with 'monthly additions' of songs across all genres as a core feature of the subscription.
Short description describes RS+ as 'a music learning subscription platform' with 'an expanding song library' — confirming the ongoing, never-complete nature of the service.
