Rot Gut launched on July 12, 2016 as a self-described finished product — the store description explicitly states "Game is 100% done and ready to be distributed." The only DLC is the game's soundtrack, which was released on April 27, 2016 (before the base game even launched on Steam). Post-launch activity consisted entirely of bug fixes addressing achievement tracking issues in April–May 2016, and a single major content update in May 2025 that was limited to a quality-of-life refresh of the OST DLC and the creation of a bundle called "Double Distilled Edition." In May 2017 the developer posted about a separate game, Rot Gut Wars, being submitted to Steam Greenlight — this is a distinct product, not new content for Rot Gut. No roadmap, expansion, or additional content has ever been announced for the base game. The game launched as a complete, finished package and has remained so.
