Royalty Free-For-All launched on August 11, 2026 as a hand-drawn party brawler with 14 characters and a public-domain-inspired soundtrack. The game has been actively updated since launch, with performance patches on August 21, balance and collision fixes on August 26, and a substantial character balance patch on September 17, 2026. On October 1, 2026 — today — the developer released Version 1.1.0, a major free update adding physics modifiers, three new stage layouts, and several quality-of-life improvements. Alongside this update, the developer announced the "Wet Floor Guys" DLC pass, priced at $2.99, which will add five new fighters to the game's roster by the end of 2026. The first of those five fighters is available immediately; the remaining four are still to come. Kickstarter backers will receive the DLC pass for free. The developer noted in the October 1 post that the game's initial sales have enabled continued free updates, and explicitly invited players to stay tuned for more update announcements. This indicates the developer intends to keep releasing free content alongside the paid DLC pass.
