Rubber Ducky and the Rainbow Gun

Rubber Ducky and the Rainbow Gun launched on December 15, 2015 and received a handful of updates in the months that followed: a bug fix patch on December 28, 2015, a cosmetic DLC pack on January 20, 2016, and then a notable post-game content update on September 27, 2019 that added a secret boss fight, optimizations, and platform porting work. That September 2019 post is the last update of any substance to the game itself. Since then, the developer — John Szymanski — has moved on to other projects. He announced the survival horror game My Friendly Neighborhood in August 2021 and, most recently, posted a demo announcement for a brand new title, Secret Agent Wizard Boy and the International Crime Syndicate, in October 2024. While the September 2019 post briefly mentioned a new Rubber Ducky game being worked on "in free time," no further updates on that project have appeared since, and the developer's focus has clearly shifted elsewhere. Both DLC items — the soundtrack and the Gigantic Cosmetic Pack — have been released. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The developer has not made any announcements about future content for this game, and no post-launch update pattern has been sustained. The game appears to have shipped as a self-contained product and reached its final state with the September 2019 update.
