Run Zeus Run launched on October 11, 2017 as a paid endless runner. In early 2018, the developer resolved a Dota 2 copyright issue with Valve, relisted the game as free-to-play, and posted ambitious plans to overhaul it into a collection of Dota 2 fan game modes — including an arcade platformer, a shooting-survival mode, and multiplayer features. The last update in that development push was a February 14, 2018 patch addressing bugged achievements, which also previewed the planned new game modes. However, those planned overhaul updates never materialized publicly. There have been no further patches or content releases since February 2018.
The most recent developer communication is a post from August 1, 2025, in which the developer reflects on the game reaching over 100,000 players and asks the community whether they would be interested in a modern remake — a full graphical overhaul with 2.5D/3D visuals, while keeping the core gameplay intact. This is framed as a question to gauge interest, not an announcement of confirmed development. No follow-up post has confirmed that a remake is underway, funded, or scheduled.
The original 2018 content plans were never delivered, and those commitments are now over seven years old with no evidence of progress. The 2025 post does not revive those old promises — it proposes an entirely new project concept (a remake) contingent on community interest. Because no new content has been confirmed or announced, and the game has received no substantial updates since February 2018, the game is effectively complete as it currently stands. - Leaderboards - You cannot call yourself the best unless you are on top of the Leaderboards. Your high score is instantly updated on the Steam Leaderboards where you can check your score and rank and compare it with other players.
- Coin Patterns - Even though coins are randomly generated on platforms, we have put time and effort to create some amazing coin patterns and designs. We will even allow our players to submit new coin patterns and add them to the game each week/month. How about sending a message to your special someone through the coins?
