Runic Survivor was developed by solo developer Jakob Stålander Sigvard and released on December 31, 2023. On January 1, 2024, the developer published a candid statement explaining that after release, major life changes — including starting a new career — left no time to develop the planned updates. The game had been in early access, but with the content expansion goals no longer feasible, the developer formally removed the early access designation and released the game as-is. The post explicitly acknowledges that more content had been planned but will not be coming, and apologizes to players who expected further updates. There have been no developer communications since January 1, 2024, and no unreleased DLC exists. The game launched as a finished product from that point forward, and the developer has not signaled any intent to return to active development.

In this game you do not unlock weapons or skills as you progress, instead, you unlock powerful arcane Runes.Runes can be used to craft spells on the fly and can be changed and modified to your hearts content!
Craft a spell shooting fiery bolts that split off into massive explosion every time they light an enemy on fire. Or an aura that knocks any enemy that approaches you back, at least until the hordes of enemies overwhelm you. The only limit is your creativity... and your mana.
Unlock new equipment!
With every death you get stronger, earning gold that can be used to purchase passive abilities and bonuses to increase your chances next time.. And when you get a hang of it, increase the difficulty and face even stronger foes!Are these done yet?
