S.A.M. - Stasis Asset Management
Take the night shift watching CCTV over a sealed-off site: spot the smallest thing out of place, report it, and last until your shift ends. You can't trust what's on the screens — or the aging terminal showing them to you.

About this game
We are an asset management company overseeing a number of facilities. We are currently hiring night-shift personnel for the position below.
Night Observation Temp · Contract · 6 days a week · Solo shift, no rotation
Your first week is a probationary period. Only those who complete probation will be offered a formal contract.
There are currently six surveillance sites available for assignment. Each site differs in equipment and layout, so follow the separate instructions provided after assignment.
Monitor the CCTV at your assigned site. In practice, the job is a repeating cycle of three steps.
1. Watch — Switch between your assigned feeds yourself and sweep through them.
2. Find — The lighting, where objects sit, how many people there are. Anything "different from usual."
3. Report — Report which camera, and what kind of anomaly, per protocol.
Missing reports, or repeatedly filing wrong ones, lowers the observer's Normality. Once Normality is fully depleted, that night's shift ends on the spot. Should depletion recur, your probationary contract may be terminated.
Shifts begin at night and end at dawn. Make it safely through your hours and the day's work is done.
You will be issued one dedicated monitoring terminal. It occasionally malfunctions on its own, but there is no need to worry — we provide both SecureNet and repair tools.
Bear in mind, however: take your eyes off the screens and you will miss anomalies; fail to keep your SecureNet connection and your surveillance duties will be seriously compromised. Holding on to both at once is the core of this role.
Able to keep your eyes on the screens for long stretches
A sharp eye that misses no small change
Able to stay calm no matter what you see
Not the type to wonder about the previous worker
Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement regarding anything witnessed on shift
Even if something on the screen looks back at you, do not leave your post.
Not everything the terminal shows you is true. Even so, the work must continue.
If someone calls your name during your shift, do not turn around. Our staff do not speak to observers on duty.
If the time shown on the surveillance feed differs from the terminal's clock, always take the surveillance feed as correct.
Zooming in on a feed whose signal has broken up is also part of the job. Whatever you see, report it before you close the screen.
Repeatedly missing or misfiling reports will be handled accordingly.
Diligence and performance are logged at all times and reflected in contract renewal and review for permanent employment.
New hires are provided orientation training to help you settle into the role.
For entities you have finished observing, you are granted access to their records in the company archive.
Meals and snacks on shift are entirely up to you — bring whatever you like and eat while you work.
You may listen to music on shift. The terminal we issue comes with a Music app stocked with tracks to play while you work. That said, it may disturb other staff, so headphones or earphones are strongly recommended.
When your shift ends, we take it upon ourselves to see you safely home. We will never leave you alone on the way back.
Should any harm come to an observer through an on-shift incident, we will restore you at no cost, up to the prescribed number of times. We cherish those who will stay with us for the long term, so anyone who applies themselves has little to fear.
The position is always open. Applicants able to start tonight will be given priority.
Shall we begin your shift?
About This Game
Don't trust the screen. Or the terminal.
An observation horror sim where you must guard both the surveillance feeds and the terminal. Find and report what's out of place on screen, hold your crumbling OS together, and make it to dawn. The longer you stay on the job, the more of what the company never told you comes to light.
Anomalies are randomized every shift. Even at the same site, no two nights are ever alike. Every entity you witness is kept in the archive.
No gore. Jumpscares, yes. Be careful when you zoom in.
