Evaluation

SCP: Rulebreaker entered Early Access on January 29, 2024, and has received updates from Pixeleur since then. Early patches in February 2024 addressed bugs and polish. The most significant content drop was the "Operation 5.56 NATO" update on March 16, 2025 (v0.1.19), which added six new weapons (including a flamethrower and the SCP-127), new grenade types, new containment rooms, new achievements, and gameplay improvements — a meaningful addition that demonstrated continued development work. However, as of October 1, 2026, the last developer communication on record is that March 16, 2025 update — a silence of over 18 months. The game is still marked as Early Access, meaning the developer has not declared it finished, and no 1.0 release or completion statement has been made. But with no posts, patches, or announcements since March 16, 2025, there is genuine uncertainty about whether active development is continuing. The developer has given no explanation for the extended silence, and no new content or roadmap has been communicated.
Evidence
Operation 5.56 NATO (v0.1.19) shipped — a major content update adding six new weapons, new grenades, new containment rooms for SCP-7328 and SCP-127, and new achievements. This is the last developer communication on record.

About this game

Dive into the heart of horror with this survival game inspired by the mysterious SCP Foundation.

Following the opening of Site Samekh, once a secure bastion of the Foundation, chaos has erupted. All other sites, except for Sites 15 and 19, have been abandoned, converging on the Samekh complex. An unprecedented concentration of anomalies, unleashed during a containment breach, has left the complex in a state of desolation. Take on the role of a Foundation guard, facing the ultimate survival test as the horrors of the anomalies threaten to consume everything.

Game Features:

  • Explore an SCP Foundation complex, once safe, now plunged into madness and danger.

  • Follow the radio communications of Tactical Response Officer (TRO) Alex, trapped in the surveillance room, and uncover the secrets of the complex to escape.

  • Face a variety of anomalies, each with unique behaviors and mechanics, making every encounter unpredictable.

  • Use your diverse arsenal to fend off anomalies and switch optics (ACOG, Red Dot, EOTECH) to adapt to various combat situations.

  • Deploy grenades to repel entities, and access crucial areas of the complex using access cards.

  • Use SCPs like SCP-714 or SCP-005 to assist in your survival quest and tackle unique challenges.

  • Walk, run, and aim strategically to evade the dangers of the containment breach.

  • Use night vision goggles to explore the dark corners of the complex.

Discover the game's fascinating story, particularly the key events triggered by the new director. Search the complex's various computers to understand the situation and unravel the mysteries surrounding you. Immerse yourself in a world where the abnormal becomes the norm, and strategic thinking is the key to facing your deepest fears.

Dive into the unknown, survive the Samekh complex, and remember:

We work in the shadows so you can live in the light.

The fate of the complex now rests in your hands.

Are you ready to take on the challenge?
