Screen Cat

Screen Cat launched on January 6, 2025 and has been consistently updated ever since. Three major content updates have shipped post-launch: Workshop Beds (January 18, 2025), Hats and Skins (June 25, 2025), and Stuff for Cats (July 12, 2025). In addition, the developer has released numerous feature patches adding new behaviors, customization options, Steam Workshop support, language localizations, and new paid cat skins. The most recent update — version 0.7 Jinjer Cat on September 28, 2025 — added a new paid skin and several new features, while also completely reworking the cat's behavior system. In that post, the developer explicitly invited community feedback on the rework ("If you feel the cat is behaving differently and you don't like it, please let me know in the comments"), signaling continued active engagement with the project. Across 14 developer posts spanning January 2025 through September 2025, the developer has maintained a high release cadence with major content arriving roughly every one to three months. As of today (September 24, 2026), the last developer communication was on September 28, 2025 — nearly a year ago — which does exceed the previously established 1-3 month update interval. However, the developer has never announced that development is complete or that updates are ending, and the sustained history of meaningful updates through September 2025 remains on record. The silence since September 28, 2025 is worth noting but has not been accompanied by any developer statement indicating the game is finished.
