Evaluation
Sentinel 3: Homeworld launched on February 3, 2014. Shortly after release, the developer shipped a significant free content update on February 14, 2014 — Campaign 2 — which added 15 new maps, new enemies and weapons, and a new commander mech. This was the only major content expansion for the game. A minor feature patch (v1.3.0.0) followed on June 4, 2015, adding VSync, achievement tracking improvements, and audio fixes. That same day, Origin8 announced that their next game, Sentinel 4: Dark Star, was live on Steam Greenlight, describing it as built on a new engine and positioned as the successor to this title. No further developer communications, patches, or content announcements have been made for Sentinel 3 since June 4, 2015. The store description references the Campaign 2 content ("NEW: Includes new content featuring new commander, enemies, campaign, weapons and more!") as an already-delivered feature. There are no unreleased DLC items listed and no outstanding developer commitments. The game launched as a complete product, received one major content drop, and the developer has since moved on to its sequel. The last meaningful activity was on June 4, 2015.
