Shakes and Fidget

Shakes & Fidget is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online RPG that has been live since February 2016 and continues to receive sustained, active development across all fronts. Recent major updates confirm ongoing live service operation: Update 28.0 launched on October 28, 2025, introducing the new Plague Doctor class, a redesigned World Boss event, and a brand-new Deeds & Titles achievement system. Update 28.5 followed on December 10, 2025 with quality-of-life improvements, and Update 29.5 arrived March 21, 2026 with expansions to the Expeditions system, Black Market, and Hellevator. In mid-2026, developer activity has continued at a steady pace. A Producer's Notes post on May 11, 2026 discussed current development topics and upcoming changes. A beta for a reworked Arena Manager system ran from June 3–14, 2026. A feature patch (Changelog 30.700) shipped on June 18, 2026 with World Boss improvements, new event content, and quality-of-life additions. On July 16, 2026, Update 30.800 added 18 new achievements, an Arena Win Streak feature, and further bug fixes. Most recently, a beta for an entirely new character class — the Blood Weaver — launched on August 6, 2026, with detailed design notes confirming this class is in final testing and nearing release. The same week, the developers announced a new game world (EU30) launching August 21, 2026. This game is explicitly structured to operate indefinitely: it runs rotating seasonal events, continuously introduces new character classes via community beta programs, and regularly reworks core systems based on player feedback. There is no indication development will wind down.
