About this game

Small fins. Big trouble.
The reef has a swarm problem. Your solution involves an angry octopus, a shark with questionable judgement, and far too many weapons.
Shark Tales: Reef Rogues is a top-down underwater arena roguelite for solo play, up to four players sharing one screen, or Steam online co-op. Survive 20 escalating waves, turn oddball weapons into monstrous evolutions, and uncover the stories buried beneath the seabed.

- Play solo, share a screen with up to four local players, or form a crew online through Steam.
- Build your crew from 16 divers with distinct abilities, strengths and restrictions.
- Experiment with 31 base weapons, 31 evolutions and 16 super evolutions.
- Fight through four regions, from coral reefs and wrecks to volcanic depths and the abyss.
- Follow clues through 11 mysteries, including eight illustrated story cases.
- Recruit characters, earn mastery costumes and customise colours and wakes.

See your next upgrade. Build something absurd.
Between waves, a picture-led workbench shows your weapon, its required item and the evolution you are working towards. Follow the four upgrade steps, see what is missing, and choose your next purchase. Browse supplies when you want to try something different.
Your crew can trade, revive fallen teammates and chase rewards in the Pearl Machine. Ready early? Swim into Bubble Chase with the other ready players while the last diver finishes shopping.

A crew with personality
Bruce tears into enemies at close range. Dr. Inky escapes behind an ink cloud. Barnacle Bill becomes a stubborn anchor in a messy fight. Each diver changes how you approach your build, and each new recruit gives you another reason to dive again.

The sea fights back
Explore coral reefs, sunken galleons, volcanic terrain and deep-sea darkness. Read the environment, deal with currents and anomalies, and decide whether your crew is ready for optional encounters and guardians. Ground markers and nearby clues guide you towards discoveries beyond the swarm.

There is more down here than enemies
Follow trails, read lost clues and piece together underwater cases. Some discoveries reward a detour; others ask your crew to face something bigger. The mysteries unfold during your runs, alongside the battle to survive.

Share the chaos
Local co-op means one screen and one crew. Keep together, rescue a friend and help each other build towards the next wave.
Steam online co-op
Steam online multiplayer is working in our hands-on playtests. Invite Steam friends or join with a crew code, with one diver per computer and up to four players. Everyone needs the same edition and update; demo and full-game crews are separate. We are still improving control selection, shop rewards and client smoothness, especially during Pearl Drop. Any feedback is welcome and helpful.

Shark Tales began with my daughter's idea and imagination. To her: thank you for the spark that brought this underwater world to life. To my wife: thank you for your patience and for making room for this creative escape after long working days. And to my son: thank you for jamming along to the soundtrack and turning playtesting into time together. This game carries a little of all of you.
