Shikhondo(食魂徒) - Soul Eater

Shikhondo(食魂徒) - Soul Eater launched on October 9, 2017 and received several post-launch updates: a bug fix patch on October 11, 2017, new difficulty modes in November and December 2017, and a console release (PS4, with Switch and Xbox One to follow) announced in June 2018. That console launch represents the last meaningful content milestone for the original game. On April 4, 2024, DeerFarm published a statement explaining that the game would be unlisted from the Steam store on April 18, 2024, coinciding with the release of Shikhondo: Youkai Rampage — a remastered and expanded successor published in partnership with CFK. Notably, the developer confirmed in that same post that the game remains playable for existing owners. Despite the unlisting announcement, the game is still purchasable on Steam as of today, so it has not been formally delisted. The April 2024 post also mentioned that DeerFarm is working on a sequel, Shikohondo: Blue Pieta, but that refers to a separate, future title — not additional content for Soul Eater itself. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap commitments, and no developer statements promising further updates to this game. The one DLC (the original soundtrack) shipped on launch day. Soul Eater is a complete, finished product.
