Evaluation

Sixty Four launched on March 4, 2024 as a solo-developed clicker/idle factory game. The developer shipped a wave of feature and quality-of-life patches in the days and weeks immediately after launch, then delivered two major content updates: the Stabilizers update on April 19, 2024 (new mechanics and machines) and the 1.2.0 "Dark update" on June 22, 2025 (a substantial endgame overhaul with new entities and a reworked resource distribution system), followed by a small patch on June 26, 2025. A February 2025 post noted the developer is also working on a mobile version of the game, confirming ongoing engagement with the project. The two major updates are spaced roughly 14 months apart, giving a historical update cadence of roughly 12–14 months between major releases. As of today, September 24, 2026, it has been approximately 15 months since the last major update — just at or slightly past the outer edge of that historical window. The developer has not announced future content, nor have they stated that development is complete. Given that the silence is only marginally beyond the established cadence and there has been no closure statement, the game is still best characterised as one receiving ongoing substantial updates, though the next major release would be overdue if it does not arrive soon.
