Skábma - Snowfall launched on April 22, 2022 as a complete, self-contained narrative adventure. Since launch, the developer has consistently shipped quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes — things like a chapter selection system, navigation aids, achievement hunting improvements, and performance optimizations — but no new story content, expansions, or DLC has ever been announced or released. There is no DLC listed on the store page and no developer communications indicating plans for additional content.
The most recent developer communication was a security hotfix on October 7, 2025, showing the studio is still maintaining the game but not expanding it. The pattern across 49 developer posts is entirely one of polish and maintenance rather than content growth. The daily life of a Sámi village is disturbed after an accident at a nearby Tar-Burning Pit. An odd disease starts spreading across the area, affecting everything from the land to the people and animals.
You play as Áilu, a young Sámi herder searching for a runaway reindeer doe. The mystery of the growing disorder starts to unravel when Áilu finds an old enchanted drum, Goavddis. Time is running out for the infected, but the long lost knowledge of Sámi healers, Noaidis, is still beating within the drum.
What is lost can always be regained! Find the four Familiar Spirits and reconnect with nature to find the source of the disease. It’s your time to become a new Noaidi for a new era!
