Slash or Die launched on June 3, 2016 and received a series of post-launch patches adding new enemies, game modes (Survival), a new hero (Samurai), and additional levels through July 5, 2016. After that point, developer communications shifted entirely to announcements about the studio's other games: EvilMorph (February 2017), Tailwind (August 2017), and Slash or Die 2 (July 2018). The July 2018 post explicitly frames Slash or Die as a completed foundation that led to the sequel, with the developer noting they "left all the best from the first part, and revised and improved everything that was not best" in SOD2. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content for this game, and no developer communication about Slash or Die itself since mid-2016. The game launched as a complete product and received its final content update on July 5, 2016.
