Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 launched on April 24, 2017 and received a series of DLC packs through early 2018. The content rollout included story missions (The Escape of Lydia on April 17, 2017 and The Sabotage on September 5, 2017), weapon and vehicle items, two soundtrack packs in June 2017, and a Multiplayer Map Pack on January 26, 2018 — which represents the final piece of content shipped for the game. All 8 DLC items are released, and none are listed as unreleased on the store. The developer has posted no announcements of additional content for SGW3 at any point since January 2018. More recent developer communications (September 2025 and December 2025) are promotional sales posts celebrating the franchise's 15th anniversary, with no mention of new content planned for this title. The game appears to have launched as a finished product with a defined post-launch DLC slate that has since fully shipped.

Take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who is dropped into enemy territory in northern Georgia, nearby Russian borders. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather and a day and night cycle that actually impacts play and decisions. Customize weapon equipment, accessories, vehicles and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost and Warrior.
