Solace Inc.

Solace Inc. launched on February 2, 2024 and has received a steady stream of free major content updates from its solo developer. As of today (August 30, 2026), the developer has just posted a pre-release beta build for v1.10, which adds new recruits, a new Arena mode where recruits can fight each other, a significant UI overhaul, promo codes, and the groundwork for localization support. The developer notes this build isn't yet complete — the localization framework is still being finalized — confirming that active development work is underway right now. The full post-launch update history shows a clear and sustained pattern of content additions: v1.5 (Valentine's Day Update, February 14, 2024), v1.6 (Fusion Update, March 14, 2024), v1.7 (Chrono Corp Update, May 4, 2024), v1.8 (Dissonance Update, April 4, 2025), v1.9 (Overcrowded Update, December 14, 2025), multiple smaller patches through early 2026, and now v1.10 in beta as of August 30, 2026. Each major update has brought meaningful new content: new game modes, hundreds of new recruits, new mission weeks, new enemy systems, and new mechanics. The developer has also been working on a sequel (Solace Inc. 2, which had a demo during Steam Next Fest in February 2025), but this has not stopped updates to the original game — the developer has explicitly returned to Solace Inc. 1 for additional content multiple times while the sequel is in development. No statement has been made that the game is finished or that no further content is planned. Both listed DLC items (the soundtrack and the 18+ content pack) are fully released.
