Soulash 2 has been in Early Access since December 4, 2023 and remains under active development toward a full 1.0 release. The most recent update — v0.10.3 "Economy," released on September 23, 2026 — adds an entirely new Economy skill with a comprehensive set of settlement and trade management features. This is the same day as today's assessment, meaning development is actively ongoing right up to this moment. At the end of the September 23, 2026 post, the developer is explicit about what comes next: within approximately one month, one more civilization will be added, followed by a focused period of polish and bug fixes. The developer also states that by the end of 2026, the 1.0 release date will be announced, framing this as wrapping up the planned Early Access scope. This builds on the context established in the July 30, 2026 v0.10 "Living World" update, where the developer described that update as finalizing the game's major foundational systems, and outlined the remaining agenda: deepening interactions between existing systems, extending the military side of the game, balancing the economy, resolving the story conclusion carried over from Soulash 1, and moving to a weekly or bi-weekly update schedule until the full release.
