Souls of Chronos

Souls of Chronos launched on February 13, 2023. Following release, FUTU Studio published a roadmap on February 23, 2023 outlining planned content including a New Game+ mode and a Snow Mountain Tower combat challenge. The studio then delivered a series of feature patches improving the map system, key rebinding, and gameplay balance throughout early-to-mid 2023. On October 18, 2023, the developer shipped the final DLC — "Pray of the Stars," a convenience pack for new players — alongside a version update that added increased difficulty to the final boss encounters. Crucially, the same post explicitly stated: "With this update, the content updates for Souls of Chronos will come to an end. We will now be fully focused on our next project, Shanghai Summer." This is a direct developer statement confirming the conclusion of all post-launch content development. The three DLC items (the soundtrack, digital art book, and Pray of the Stars bundle) are all released. The most recent developer communication was a Lunar New Year sale announcement on January 26, 2025 — a promotional post with no indication of any renewed development activity. The game shipped as a complete narrative experience and the developer has formally closed the content chapter.
