Space Cats Tactics is a solo-developed turn-based tactical RPG that launched on July 24, 2023. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of bug fix and quality-of-life patches through August 2023, and then returned with a notable feature update on July 30, 2024 — PawPatch 1.10.0 — which added full controller support and mentioned the possibility of Steam Deck and even Switch support in the future.
That July 30, 2024 post is the last recorded developer communication. While it expressed some forward-looking enthusiasm about platform possibilities, these were casual, speculative remarks rather than a concrete announcement of planned content. Combining grid- and turn-based tactical combat (as seen in games like XCOM and Divinity: Original Sin) and inside-ship crew management (like in games such as FTL and Star Command Galaxies), in Space Cats Tactics you will have to be on your toes and think every step very carefully!
