Evaluation
Space Junkies launched on March 26, 2019 as a VR multiplayer shooter. The developer shipped three episodes of free post-launch content: Episode 1 (April 24, 2019), Episode 2 (May 29, 2019), and Episode 3 (June 27, 2019). On August 27, 2019, the developer published a final development update explicitly stating "this is the end of our journey in terms of development of the game." That same post confirmed the non-VR open beta would close, that no non-VR version would be released, and that game servers would remain open for existing VR owners. The game is no longer available for purchase on Steam — there are no purchase options listed, meaning it has been removed from the storefront.
