Spacelords

Spacelords launched as a free-to-play game in September 2017 and has been updated over the years with seasonal events, character packs, and new content. The developer, MercurySteam, maintained an active post history through 2021, announcing rotating seasonal events (Crimson Conjunction in August 2021, The Requiem in October 2021, Winter Hunt in December 2021) and shipping a content update called "THE END" on December 23, 2021. After that December 23, 2021 post, all official communication from the developer ceased. There have been no patch notes, event announcements, news posts, or developer statements of any kind since then — a silence spanning more than four years as of mid-2026. The developer has never issued a statement confirming the game is finished or that development has concluded, nor have they announced any shutdown or studio closure. All five DLC packs are released, with the most recent dating to July 2019. The complete and unexplained silence since December 23, 2021 — well beyond the developer's previously active communication pattern — makes it impossible to confirm whether the game is still receiving any attention from the studio. The game remains purchasable and playable, but the status of ongoing support is unclear.
