Speed Dates launched on Steam on March 31, 2023 as a choice-based FMV dating game. The developer shipped a substantial Version 2.0 update on January 20, 2024, expanding the game with 4K visuals, additional story paths, and more gameplay hours. In October 2024, the developer teased a companion title called Summer Dates. Most recently, on February 12, 2026, the game launched on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch — and that same post explicitly committed to "new content, new stories, and new surprises are coming very soon."
That February 12, 2026 statement is a direct developer promise of upcoming content. However, as of October 1, 2026 — nearly 8 months after that announcement — no new content has shipped and no further communication from the developer has appeared. Given the explicit promise of imminent content and the sustained silence since, the status of that announced content is unclear. The developer has gone quiet without explanation, and the promised updates have not materialized.
