Spell Defender

Spell Defender launched on October 10, 2022 and received a burst of post-launch updates over its first month: a new arena and gameplay mode on October 16, a spells update on October 22, and a performance and arena update on November 4, 2022. Then, on February 4, 2023, the solo developer (Jesper Bergman) posted a candid update stating that new content would "likely not" be coming to the game. He explained that balancing a full-time job and personal life alongside game development had proven too difficult, and that Spell Defender had become his lowest priority. He noted he had worked on some things he'd like to add but could not promise they would ever be released. This is a clear developer statement that active content development has effectively ended. No further posts have appeared since February 4, 2023, and there are no unreleased DLC listings. The game is considered complete as of the final content update on November 4, 2022.
