Stellar Commanders launched on February 20, 2020 and received three major content updates post-launch: the Svarog update (March 27, 2020), the Poli'Ahu update (June 23, 2020), and the Friends Assembly update (July 2, 2021), which added new game modes (Friends Assembly and Explorer's Path single-player campaign), two new planets, 17 new units, skins, and a black market progression system. That July 2021 update was the last substantial content release for the game.
Since then, developer communications have shifted entirely to promoting a new game — Ground of Aces, a WWII base-builder. A May 2023 news post announced Ground of Aces, and a March 2024 post celebrated a Ground of Aces alpha milestone with a sale on Blindflug's back catalog (including Stellar Commanders). Neither post announced or hinted at any future content for Stellar Commanders. The developer has made no mention of upcoming updates, new content, or continued development for this game.
Both DLC items (the soundtrack and bonus content) were released on launch day and no unreleased DLC exists. The store description makes no reference to future content. With the studio's attention clearly directed at their new title and no developer communication about Stellar Commanders since March 2024 — well over a year after the last substantive content post — the game appears to have concluded its post-launch content cycle with the July 2021 update.

Stellar Commanders is a fast-paced multiplayer real-time strategy game that pits player against player in a bid to take control of distant planets as part of an inter-galactic war for precious resources.
The speedy 1 vs 1 battles will see each player align with a different faction and choose units based on a deep roster of unlockable futuristic troops; from rockets, tanks and stealth generators to bombastic orbital satellites, all of which will help determine tactical decisions.

Select your faction, but choose wisely. Will it be the radicalised bright minds of the Sons and Daughters of Barovia, the land grabbing old guard of the United Coalition of the World or the technologically advanced, traditionalist mega-corporation that is the Jin Guo Empire?
Each faction comes with their own unique units and strategies and their own tech trees of new units to unlock! Custimize your arsenal and become the best commander of your faction!
This is our first multiplayer strategy game and one that we’ve been excited about for some time – it seemed like a perfect next step after the huge success of First Strike. Combining the First Strike community’s feedback about making a multiplayer strategy title with our own love of ‘90s RTS games has resulted in Stellar Commanders, which will have all the fast-paced fun of a modern, tactical RTS as well as a touch of nostalgia.
