Stories of Liane

Stories of Liane launched into Early Access on March 1, 2021 with Chapter One — a roughly 15–20 minute narrative walking-simulator experience. The developer's plan, outlined in the pre-launch announcement, called for three short story chapters plus one longer connecting story, with Chapter Two targeting Fall 2021 and Chapter Three at a TBD date. On June 27, 2021, the developer posted that Chapter Two would be delayed by at least six months due to quality and technical concerns, noting that the team works on the game entirely in their spare time around full-time jobs. That same post promised monthly development updates starting August 1, 2021, to keep the community informed. No further posts were ever made. The August 2021 update never arrived, nor did any subsequent communication. As of June 2026, the store description still lists Chapter Two as "Yet to be released" (originally targeting Fall 2021) and Chapter Three as "Yet to be released" with no date at all. The game remains in Early Access with only Chapter One playable. The developer has been completely silent for nearly five years, has not fulfilled any of the promised monthly updates, and has not shipped any of the remaining planned chapters. There is no indication of whether development is ongoing, paused, or abandoned.
