Stygian: Outer Gods

Stygian: Outer Gods entered Early Access on April 14, 2025, as an explicitly unfinished game, and development has progressed steadily since then. Four major content updates have shipped: "Souls of the Silent Tide" (August 22, 2025) added the House of Mists, Blood Forest, new enemies, and quests; "Brasko's Mansion" (December 10, 2025) opened the mansion's Right Wing, Gardens, and new areas; the "Lovecraftian Days" update (April 9, 2026, promoted to the main branch May 4, 2026) added new locations including a Crypt, Left Wing, and Basement, along with new NPCs, enemies, quests, and story content. This establishes a sustained cadence of roughly one major update every three to four months since launch. The most recent developer communication, posted on July 16, 2026, is a direct statement from the studio confirming they are "hard at work on the final stretch of the game's development" and remain committed to a full PC release later in 2026. The exact release date has not yet been decided, but the developer expressed confidence that the final form of the game — including the last chunk of content — is on its way. The game remains in Early Access with meaningful content still to come before reaching its completed 1.0 release.
