Evaluation

Such a Guy launched on October 14–15, 2025 as a self-contained first-person narrative/FMV game. The store description presents it as a complete experience: nearly 1,000 minutes of 4K footage, hundreds of decision points, 20+ endings, and a full relationship and management system — all framed as a finished product rather than an evolving service. The only DLC listed is a 4K video upgrade pack, which released on October 15, 2025 (the day of launch) and functions as a technical enhancement rather than new story content. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. Following launch, the developer shipped a series of patches through December 29, 2025, addressing technical issues (white screen bugs, codec problems), adjusting gameplay feel (QTE difficulty, affection requirements), removing content players found uncomfortable, and improving localization. These are all quality-of-life and polish updates rather than new content expansions. The pre-launch producer letter from October 1, 2025 mentioned a "commitment to supporting the game post-launch," but this appears to have been fulfilled by the post-launch patch series — no roadmap, named future DLC, or expansion announcements were made. The last developer communication was on December 29, 2025, and no further content has been signaled since. The game was designed and shipped as a complete narrative experience, and all post-launch activity has been maintenance and polish. There is no evidence of planned future content.

Story

As summer arrives, Zheng Zai quits his urban job and heads to a seaside town to co-manage an old guesthouse with two friends. Starting from scratch, they face funding shortages, operational challenges, and personality clashes, gradually building a warm and authentic space. What begins as an entrepreneurial journey slowly turns into a journey of personal growth.

Meanwhile, six women with diverse personalities and backgrounds enter Zheng Zai’s life. They are travelers, neighbors, colleagues, and possibly destined partners. Every conversation choice, interaction timing, management preference, and even moments of silence influence relationships, shaping emotional outcomes and the narrative's conclusion.

Will the business succeed? How will relationships end? Which connection will last? The game hands you full control to experience a complete life story through authentic audiovisual storytelling.

Characters

Layla Jiang (25, Tour Guide / Surf Coach)
Outgoing and cheerful, Jiang Lai is the brightest presence on the beach. A local native who knows every corner of the town, she’s a loyal early supporter of your venture. Passionate about surfing and adventure, her personality is like a sea breeze — free-spirited and unrestrained. Your relationship with her is like shadows running under the sun — pure, direct, yet full of challenges.

Ki Gan (30, Bar Owner)
Mature, confident, and straightforward, Gan Qi owns the town’s popular bar. She possesses life experience and tolerance, making her a valuable mentor in her career and an unexpected source of support in relationships. She’s not proactive, but she never refuses a genuine connection. Your relationship with her is one of “adult understanding” — if you truly get each other, you can go far.

Mina Xu (26, Freelance Graphic Designer)
Intellectual and elegant, Xu Manman lives independently with a rich inner world. She expresses emotions through design and often hides her thoughts in silence. You’ll need to understand her “silent language” and slowly gain her trust and companionship.

Zoey (23, Resident Singer)
Bold and edgy on the outside but soft inside, Zuo Yi sings at the local bar and is passionate about music. She tells stories through melodies, keeps her guard up with the world, but treasures sincerity. If you accompany her for late-night drinks and listen to her wounds, she might sing a song just for you.

Ivy Wong (20, Marine University Student)
Delicate and gentle, Wang Yutong is an intern in a marine research project. Quiet and kind, she reveals surprising determination at critical moments. She loves aquatic life and has a unique perspective on life. Your bond with her is a steady stream, gradually deepening in calmness and warmth.

Erica Luo (22, Travel Blogger)
Whimsical and energetic, Luo Yueke is a social media “travel photography queen.” She loves taking photos, being playful, and stirring up trouble — sometimes like a scatterbrain, sometimes unexpectedly reliable. Her world is colorful and lively. Can you leave a lasting impression amid her fast pace?

Each character has their own story and branching fate. Will your presence change their paths?
