Sumeru launched on September 21, 2016 as a self-contained 2D physics puzzle game with six levels and 43 scenes. The developer released a couple of post-launch patches adding features like Trading Cards and Cloud Saves (October 13, 2016), and then a final update on January 2, 2017 that optimized levels and added music to the art book DLC. The only DLC — an art book released on launch day — has shipped. In a January 23, 2017 post, the developer announced they were moving on to a new puzzle game project, which is a clear signal that active development on Sumeru had concluded. There have been no further updates or announcements since January 2017. The game shipped as a complete, scoped product and the developer has explicitly moved on to new projects.
